Continental Group of Institutes

The Continental Group made its debut in the field of education in 2001 at its Mohali campus. The maiden Program launched was in the field of Automobile engineering & Marketing. Since then, the Group has progressed from leaps to bounds, imparting quality education in diverse fields. The group has established various institutes of International repute in the fields of Engineering, Business Studies, Creative Studies, Health Sciences, Computer Science & IT. The group established a new campus on sprawling 50 Acres of lush green land right on National Highway 1 (GT Road) at a distance of 8 Kms from Sirhind towards Rajpura (Punjab), India. We have a state of the art ultra modern campus of International Standard, encompassing all facilities including a rich Learning Resource Center (Library), Computer & Engineering Laboratories, Engineering Workshops, Amphitheater, Indoor & Outdoor Games & Other Recreational & Educational facilities conducive to effective learning. The integrated campus houses three institutes i.e. Continental Institute of Engineering & Technology (CIET), Continental Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and CIIS-Institute of Science & Technology (CIIS-IST). Additional Institutes catering for Business Studies, Commerce & other fields are in the pipe line. The campus is strategically located & is conveniently accessible by air, rail and road- being located on the main artery Ambala – Rajpura – Ludhiana – Amritsar.

The International Conference “Engineering Innovations (ICEI2k10) – A Fillip to Economic Development”

The conference is intended to facilitate a forum for academia, practicing managers, industry researchers and scholars around the world to share innovative ideas, experiences, practices and research outcomes in engineering that is a boon for the economy. The conference will include keynote and invited papers, as well as contributed oral and poster presentations. This conference is framed upon a comparative and interdisciplinary approach. Going beyond this conference, we aim to bring together academia of science and technology studies as well as policy makers. The conference on engineering innovations will also bring to a common platform the best of brains to present the ‘how’ of their respective success stories through this congregation. 

 

 

Call for papers

Research papers, conceptual papers and cases are invited from academicians, management consultants, research scholars, practicing mangers and students, relevant to the theme of conference. Some of the promising areas mentioned below; however the list is indicative and not exhaustive.

Paper Submission

All papers (maximum 08 pages) will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference theme, contributions and readability. The papers will be chosen based on technical merit, interest, applicability and how well they fit a coherent and balanced technical program 
The authors should mention their respective affiliations and email addresses. The work should be original and should not have been published in any journal or proceedings. Members from international and national panel of experts will review each abstract and its acceptance will be intimated to the authors through email only.

Publications

All of the papers presented at ICEI-2010 will be published in the form of a CD.  Those who cannot come to CGI, Punjab, India but wish to present a paper IN-ABSENTIA are encouraged to send an abstract and subsequently a full length paper as per mentioned schedule. Papers on the conference theme presented in-absentia are eligible to be included in the conference CD provided at least one of the authors pay the processing fee equal to registration fee.
The accepted papers will be included in the conference CD only if at least one of the authors registers along with the registration fee. Registration fee include conference kit, proceeding in the form of CD, lunch, conference dinner and high tea.

Accommodation

Accommodations at CGI, Punjab, India is limited and will be allotted to the outstation students/research scholars (only) on first come first serve basis on nominal charges. For others in and around Fatehgarh Sahib, there are many good budget hotels available and can be arranged on request. Transportation facility will be provided by the organizers for the participants who will be staying away from the campus. Accommodation to foreign delegates will be provided by the Continental Group of Institutes in the Institute Guest House located at Chandigarh, India.

Social Program

A Civic Reception, Indian cultural night and site-seeing tours are all part of a social program which is aimed at introducing delegates to Punjabi culture and the rich history surrounding the city.

Conference Venue

Continental Group of Institutes– Jalvehra campus is located right on National Highway 1 (Old GT Road) at 8 Kms from Sirhind towards Rajpura in district Fatehgarh Sahib (www.fatehgarhsahib.nic.in) has an ideal geographical location with proximity to important cities of the region i.e. Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Patiala. The campus is located at 09 kilometers from Sirhind railway station, 40 kilometers from Chandigarh, 65 kilometers from Ludhiana and 35 kilometers from Patiala.
