Ragging, in any form, is strictly forbidden on or off campus. Maintaining a culture free from ragging is a shared responsibility of the entire CIET community, including students, parents, faculty, and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CIET follows the <strong>AICTE Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009<\/strong> with zero tolerance toward any acts of ragging. Violators, whether directly involved or abetting such behavior, will face stringent disciplinary action in accordance with institutional policies and the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Understanding Ragging<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ragging encompasses any behavior that demeans, harasses, or intimidates a student. As per AICTE, it includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Harassment or Teasing:<\/strong> Using words, gestures, or actions to ridicule, humiliate, or threaten a student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unlawful Demands:<\/strong> Compelling students to perform inappropriate, embarrassing, or uncomfortable acts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Disruption of Education:<\/strong> Interfering with a student\u2019s academic work or routine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Exploitation:<\/strong> Forcing students to undertake personal tasks for seniors or groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Financial Pressure:<\/strong> Coercing students into spending money unnecessarily.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Physical Violence:<\/strong> Inflicting harm or engaging in acts that endanger health, including sexual misconduct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Verbal Abuse:<\/strong> Shaming or ridiculing someone in person, through emails, or on social media.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mental Harm:<\/strong> Actions that impact a student\u2019s confidence, dignity, or psychological well-being.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Such actions not only disrupt the harmony of our institution but also violate its fundamental values of respect and integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Zero Tolerance and Consequences<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CIET has established an <strong>Anti-Ragging Committee<\/strong> and <strong>Anti-Ragging Squads<\/strong> to ensure a ragging-free environment. Any incident reported will be thoroughly investigated, and immediate action will be taken. If found guilty, the offender(s) may face the following penalties:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Imposition of fines up to \u20b950,000.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Temporary suspension from academic privileges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revocation of scholarships and financial benefits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Restrictions from exams, assessments, or competitions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Withholding of academic results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expulsion from hostels or college premises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cancellation of admission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rustication for a specific duration or permanent expulsion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal action, including filing an FIR with local authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In cases where individual offenders are not identified, <strong>collective accountability<\/strong> may be enforced to ensure discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Support and Reporting<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CIET encourages students to stand against ragging and support a safe learning environment. If you or someone you know experiences ragging, report it immediately to the Anti-Ragging Committee or faculty members. Confidentiality will be maintained for all complaints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Commitment to Respect and Safety<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At CIET, we envision a campus where every student can thrive in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust.
